Explore Ana's journey of transformation and professional growth.
How did you come to Myme?
I came to Myme after making a radical shift in my professional future. As an engineer passionate about digital transformation, I decided to expand my knowledge and pursued a Master's in Internet Business (MIB) at ISDI. It was during this period that I discovered my interest in product management and the digital transformation of companies. After completing my training and a brief stint at an agency (FiftyX), I had the opportunity to join Snippetgroup, initially as a Digital Analytics Manager and since October 2019 as a Product Manager at Myme.
How is the Product Development team organized?
The Product Development team at Myme is organized collaboratively and multidisciplinarily. We work closely with different areas such as creativity, design, video editing and post-production, technology, UX, and marketing to ensure that all aspects of our product are covered. We encourage open communication, collaboration, and active participation from the entire team to ensure successful delivery through an agile methodology.
What are your short and long-term goals?
In the short term, my goal is to continue contributing to the success of developing and launching new features in Myme, ensuring they meet customer expectations and have a positive impact on the market. In the long term, I aspire to have Myme "democratize videomarketing," as our claim says, and continue to educate myself to take on more responsibility and contribute to Myme's growth and success.
What motivates you about the Myme project?
What motivates me most about the Myme project is the opportunity to be part of the transformation in the communication of small and medium-sized businesses. We are living in an exciting time where technology is rapidly changing the way we live and work. Being part of a project like Myme allows me to apply my analytical skills, my passion for technology, and my investigative spirit to create innovative solutions that benefit people and businesses.
How do you identify with the company's values?
I fully identify with Myme's values because, in the end, Myme is a team of people united by our passion for what we do, teamwork, and resilience (which is quite important in a startup). Success or failure is everyone's!
Additionally, as a curious, analytical mind committed to what I do, I share the mindset of constant learning and the willingness to collaborate closely with the team to achieve successful results.
What is your greatest professional pride?
My greatest professional pride has been my own professional transformation, reinventing myself! Going from being an Engineer in Charge of Linear Works Tracings to a Product Manager of a completely digital product like Myme. If there's a motto, it would be "if you want, you can" and "it's never too late."
What do you think sets you apart from others?
I don't think I have something that makes me different from others; I simply believe that my ability to analyze and use data effectively, as well as my commitment to facing new challenges, can have a positive impact on the projects I participate in.
What is your next professional challenge, and what will you do to achieve it?
My next professional challenge is to continue growing with Myme. We have a range of new features pending development that meet our customers' expectations. To achieve this goal, I will continue to expand my knowledge and skills, stay updated on the latest trends and practices in the industry. Additionally, I will seek opportunities to take on more responsibility at Myme.
If you could say something to your college self, what would it be?
The first thing I would say to my college self is: "Ana, relax." I was a teenager very concerned about good grades...
I would tell her to be open to the challenges that life will present and to trust more in herself, her abilities, and her work capacity.
